Smith County Habitat is constantly striving to build homes, communities, and hope within our community. For fifteen years, Jack Wilson served as CEO of our affiliate, and he made sure of that. Those who know Jack, know his passion for the mission of Habitat and its vision: A world where everyone has a decent place to live.
After fifteen years at the helm, 46 new homes constructed, and over 1,200 critical home repairs completed, Jack truly built a legacy that has impacted many and will continue to impact generations to come.
To celebrate the retirement and legacy of Jack Wilson, thanks to many generous friends and supporters, we were able to establish the Smith County Habitat Jack Wilson Legacy Endowment Fund in June 2023. The annual yield of this fund will benefit our Critical Repair Program’s emergency fund. The Emergency Fund helps us keep deserving neighbors in their homes and meet their immediate needs while we process their application for additional critical home repairs, which would be funded by one of our many repair grants we’re awarded throughout the year. The emergency fund is truly a life saver.
Please consider a gift to the Smith County Habitat Jack Wilson Legacy Endowment Fund, an investment that will benefit our affiliate for many years to come. Feel free to reach out to Kaitlyn (kaitlyn@smithcountyhabitat.org) if you have any questions.
Thank you for your support and friendship.
