T he Habitat ReStore deconstruction service salvages good and usable building materials from residential homes that are being demolished or remodeled in Smith County. At a competitive fee, our staff and volunteer recycling crews will come on site to efficiently remove and haul materials. All donations of materials are tax-deductible and will be sold in the Habitat ReStore where proceeds support Habitat for Humanity of Smith County and the building of safe and affordable housing for those in need.

Benefits to donating to Habitat for Humanity of Smith County via our deconstruction program:
Note: Donations via our deconstruction service are accepted from households and businesses located throughout all of Smith County. When houses and buildings are to be destroyed we recycle (salvage) the parts that are still usable and sell them in the ReStore. We will remove the product from the donor site for a small reclamation fee determined by the project manager after a site inspection. The main goal of the deconstruction service is to rescue cabinets, plumbing fixtures, appliances, heating, A/C equipment, and other building materials from being unnecessarily disposed of during the remodeling or deconstruction process.
